Predicting Exoplanet Spectra and Uncertainties from Noisy Simulated Data for the ESA Ariel Mission (NeurIPS Ariel Data Challenge 2025)
- Reviewed papers from both astrophysics and machine learning domains to understand the problem and gather ideas.
- Passed transit drops estimations through a CNN, merged with star-features, and then passed through a DNN to predict the per-wavelength spectra.
- Achieved 48th place out of 860 teams, winning the Silver Medal.
Dahih Al-Dofaa - Desktop application leveraging RAG and LLMs to create a personalized, offline learning experience for university students
- Used a vector database to extract meaningful context from university documents for the user questions
- Used Ollama to integrate with open-source LLMs like Llama, Phi, and Qwen locally on the user’s end device
- Created a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions to automate the build and release process
